I am not in California. Can you still represent me?
Yes. We take matters in every state, and communication, documents, and signing can be handled remotely. Where a local court appearance is genuinely required, we work with an attorney licensed in that state.
How long do I have to bring a claim?
The deadline follows the law of the state where the accident happened, most often two to three years. In California it is generally two years, and shorter when a government entity is involved.
What if the other driver has no insurance?
You may be able to claim under the uninsured or underinsured motorist provisions of your own policy. We review the policy first.
I was partly at fault. Can I still claim?
Most states apply comparative fault and reduce the recovery by your share of responsibility. In California, you may still recover even if you were partly at fault.

What should I do first after a car accident?
Once everyone is safe, call the police and get the report number, photograph the scene, the vehicle damage, the other party's plate and insurance card, seek medical care promptly, and keep every record. Do not make any written or recorded admission of fault at the scene.
Should I accept the insurer's first offer?
Usually not. A first offer typically arrives before the full medical costs and lost income are known, and once you sign a release you cannot ask for more. Let an attorney assess the treatment course and total losses first.
Do I have to pay to hire a lawyer?
No. We handle personal injury matters on a contingency fee: no recovery, no attorney fee, and the fee comes out of the recovery at the agreed percentage. The initial assessment is free.
I am a student or on a work visa. Will a claim affect my immigration status?
An ordinary car accident injury claim is a civil matter and does not itself affect a visa or green card application. Status details and medical benefits do need careful handling in the paperwork. Because we practice both immigration and personal injury, we watch both sides during the claim.

Yes. California applies pure comparative fault, so you can still claim even if you share responsibility; the award is reduced by your percentage of fault.
Is there a deadline for California car accident claims?
The limitations period for personal injury is generally two years from the accident, and three years for property damage. Where a government vehicle or roadway is involved, an administrative claim must be filed within six months. Once the deadline passes you cannot sue, so consult early.
