Are you dealing with any of this?
You were in an Uber or Lyft when it crashed
You were hurt in the back seat. The driver says the company will handle it, and the company sent an automated email with no next steps.
A rideshare car hit you
The car had an Uber or Lyft sticker, but the driver says they were not on a ride and tells you to go to their own insurer.
Another car caused it and has no insurance
The rideshare driver did nothing wrong. The car that hit you has no insurance, or very little.
You were hurt while driving for Uber or Lyft
Someone hit you on the way to a pickup or with a passenger on board. Medical bills, lost pay, car repairs, and no clear answer on who pays.
An unfamiliar insurer wants a recorded statement
The call is not from Uber or Lyft but from an insurer you have never heard of, asking how it happened and how badly you are hurt.
The emails and terms are hard to follow
Company replies, insurer letters, and the app's terms are all in English, and you worry one wrong answer could hurt your claim.
How we help
Once you hire us, calls and letters from the company and the insurers come to us.
Finding out which policy should pay
Rideshare coverage depends on whether the driver's app was off, on and waiting, or had accepted a ride. We get the trip records from the company and the insurer and find out whether the driver's own policy or the company's policy applies.
Finding every policy that can pay
The driver's insurance, the company's insurance, the other car's insurance, and anything usable on your own auto policy. We check each one so nothing is missed.
Dealing with the insurers for you
We take the insurers' calls. You do not give a recorded statement and you do not negotiate on your own.
Gathering reports, records, and bills
We get the police report, nearby video, and dashcam footage, and collect your medical records, bills, and proof of lost pay.
Handling medical bills and balances
Before the case closes, we negotiate with hospitals, doctors, and your health plan over what they want paid back, so more of the money stays with you.
Explaining every offer in Chinese
Each time the insurer makes an offer, we explain in Chinese what it covers and what it leaves out. Whether to accept is your decision.
If you are the rideshare driver
If you were hurt while driving for the app, the company has accident insurance for drivers that can pay medical bills and part of your lost income. If someone else hit you, you can also claim against their insurer. We handle both.
Filing suit if talks fail
If the insurer will not make a fair offer, we file within the deadline. The company's terms include an arbitration rule, and we check first whether it applies to you.
What to do first
Do these as soon as you can.
- Call the police and get the report number:Call 911 at the scene. When the officer arrives, write down the officer's name and the report number. You will need them to get the police report.
- See a doctor right away:Go even if you feel fine. Some injuries start to hurt a day or two later. Tell the doctor it was a car crash so the records say so.
- Screenshot the trip in the app:If you were a passenger, screenshot the trip receipt, the driver's name, the plate, pickup and drop-off times, and the route. If a rideshare car hit you, photograph its Uber or Lyft sticker, the plate, and the driver's license and insurance card.
- Report the accident in the Uber or Lyft app:Report the crash in the app. Say what happened, but do not say you are not hurt or only a little hurt. Screenshot your chat with support too.
- Take photos and get witness numbers:Photograph the damage to each car, the intersection, the traffic lights, and your injuries. If someone saw it, ask for their name and phone number.
- No recorded statement, no signatures:If the other side's or the company's insurer calls for a recorded statement, you can say, "Please contact my lawyer." Do not sign anything, and do not agree to an amount on the phone.
- Tell your own insurer and keep every receipt:Let your own auto insurer know about the crash. Keep receipts and bills for medical care, medicine, getting around, and pay you lost from missing work.
How working with us goes
Free initial assessment
Call or message us on WeChat and tell us in Chinese what happened, how you were hurt, and which app was involved. We tell you whether you have a claim and what to do next.
Written agreement
The fee percentage and how case costs work are written into the agreement. After you sign, we tell the company and the insurers to contact us from then on.
You get treatment, we gather the file
You focus on getting better. We find out which policy should pay and collect the trip record, police report, medical records, and bills.
Claim and negotiation
When treatment has settled down, we put the file together and make the claim. Every offer is explained to you first, and you decide.
Closing and payment
Before accepting a settlement, we negotiate the medical balances down. If talks fail, we file within the deadline. At the end you get a written statement showing where every dollar went.

Fees for rideshare accident cases
Free initial assessment
The first conversation costs nothing. We will tell you plainly where the hard parts are and how the case is likely to go.
No recovery, no attorney fee
The attorney fee is a percentage of what is recovered. If there is no recovery, there is no attorney fee. The percentage is set in a written agreement before you sign.
Case costs are in the agreement
Who advances costs such as records, doctors' or other outside reports, and court filing fees, and how they are deducted at the end, is spelled out in the engagement agreement.
- California requires contingency fee agreements to be in writing, state the fee rate, and explain how costs affect the fee and your net recovery (B&P Code §6147).
- The fee percentage is agreed before you sign and is not changed unilaterally during the case.
- We do not promise any particular recovery or outcome.
