Background
Mr. L had his EB-1A (extraordinary ability) petition approved, and on the morning of August 12 he attended his E11 immigrant visa interview at the U.S. Consulate General in Guangzhou, which he passed.
At the Guangzhou consulate, the hard part is not only the paperwork. Many EB-1A clients hit their real trouble at this stage: properly disclosing Party membership and dealing with possible medical exam issues. Mishandling either can stall the whole process.
