Approved after a NOID
Background
The applicant entered the United States in 2010. Over 16 years, the case was denied once, original documents were lost, a NOID was issued, and the applicant was caught up in removal proceedings in immigration court.
Challenges
A long backlog, original documents lost by the court, a NOID questioning the genuineness of the applicant's status claim, and a case stuck in a procedural deadlock over closing and transferring jurisdiction.
Strategy
We used the complete scanned backups kept by our firm to resolve the lost originals, gathered detailed evidence of daily life to resolve the NOID, and ran two rounds of interview training so the applicant could handle the 15-minute interview with ease.
Outcome
Interviewed on January 7 and approved on January 30, 23 days later.
