Background
A senior UX and product designer with a gap in status of more than a year and multiple entries and exits applied for an H-1B transfer.
Challenges
The former employer had not issued regular pay stubs, and a long period without status could very easily trigger an RFE or even a finding of unlawful presence.
Strategy
We urgently worked with the former employer to issue compliant pay stubs for roughly the most recent month, and fully mapped the status timeline and travel history in advance to avoid risk points.
Outcome
Approved, avoiding the high overall cost of activating the H-1B abroad (filed 03/08/2026 · approved 03/22/2026).
