Recent graduate
Background
D originally majored in urban planning and, through coursework and internships, moved into interaction design for smart logistics. Six months before graduating, she came to our firm for systematic immigration and career planning.
Challenges
Urban planning and interaction design are far apart, so justifying the change of field was the core concern in review.
Strategy
We relied on her graduate degree and the "bachelor's degree plus five years of progressive experience" provision, combined with her results and industry recognition in smart logistics projects, to resolve concerns about the mismatch between her degree and her field. We also built up her profile in advance through competitions, internships, and expert endorsements.
Outcome
The petition passed review and was approved.
