Cross-disciplinary O-1A on first submission
Background
He worked as an architect at a well-known architectural design firm early in his career and later became co-founder of an AI company. He originally considered O-1B, but our assessment found that the six O-1B criteria could not fully capture his combined strengths across architecture and business management.
Challenges
Some of his standout achievements did not fit any of the eight standard O-1A criteria. His work status during CPT also had to withstand scrutiny.
Strategy
We matched his architectural design, business management, and AI entrepreneurship against the eight O-1A criteria one by one, and provided comparable industry evidence for achievements outside the standard criteria. We also prepared a position description and timeline for his CPT period in advance to rule out status risk.
Outcome
Approved on first submission with no RFE. His company then closed a major funding round, laying the groundwork for his EB-1A.
