OPT Application Denied
Background
Because the client did not file the I-765 within 30 days of receiving the OPT I-20, the OPT application was denied and student status ended at the same time.
Challenges
A new admission had to be found in a very short time to rebuild a lawful status basis.
Strategy
Within two weeks we urgently secured admission to a school offering a CPT program and then immediately filed for F-1 reinstatement.
Outcome
Approved with no RFE (filed 07/30/2024 · approved 02/03/2025).
